The festival of lights is here! I’m happy to share that unlike last year, when I spent Diwali all by myself, I am back home this year with my parents, enjoying this festival the way it’s meant to be - surrounded by my loved ones.
It also marks the beginning of a new year in the Hindu calendar, and it brings up for me a time for reflection and gratitude. The past year has been one of the most turbulent and dynamic years of my life, and I’ve seen more highs and lows than I ever had before. Which is why I’m filled with immense gratitude for all that I lived through:
Gratitude to have faced consequential choices.
Gratitude that I spent meaningful time with my friends.
Gratitude that I read some great books.
Gratitude for completing three years of writing this newsletter.
Gratitude that I am surrounded by loved ones who inspire me to tame the chaos of life.
Gratitude for your time and attention, dear reader.
And finally gratitude that we are all here in this moment together. We’ve all been through the highs and lows of life, dealt with mind boggling obstacles, seen pretty sunsets, commuted through crazy traffic, worked out with intensity, hiked beautiful trails - most importantly, we’re alive together and get to live another day on this incredible planet. So much to be grateful for!
Light conquers darkness. Families come together. The festive spirit finds its way to us.
It is with this spirit that I wish you and your loved ones a very happy Diwali. May this light of gratitude shine bright even in your darkest moments.
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
This time of smiles and gratitude this time of sweets and tasty food. This festival of shiny lights, that brightens up the darkest nights. 🪔 🏮 I see them glitter in the sky, the fireworks that burst so high. I see the kids with sparklers too with colors yellow red and blue. 🎆🎇✨ In each and every light and lamp a spirit of delight is stamped, as families rejoice and cheer, "Let's celebrate, Diwali's here!" 🥳🎉🎊 Diwali's here, let's celebrate, with shiny lights let's decorate, not just our homes, but our hearts too! Let's feel this festive spirit true! 🤗❤️😇

See example screenshot below. Check it out.
2. Listen to Tinzo’s groovy disco and R&B mix: I’ll be putting up this mix in my Diwali party for sure. A great mood setter filled with exceptional tracks, listen to it now!
3. Watch “Wow, A Talking Fish” by R. Sahaykants: This beautiful Armenian animated film from the 80s is filled to the brim with trippy visuals and a lovely moral. Watch it now for a fun-filled experience.
