Lovely Weekend With Friends

Back in 2022 I started living in a city where most of my best friends lived. And then in 2023, I moved out of that city for a new career chapter. Since then, whenever I get to go back and spend time with them, I write about that time in Hello Universe under the “Weekend With Friends” series.

Well, today’s another entry in that series thanks to a lovely weekend I got to spend with those amazing friends. It was pure joy, and that’s what today’s poem is about.

Long chats of future dreams unfold,
as night turns into day.
On friends' new wheels, we ride so bold,
new sights along the way.

Conversations deep and true,
about our hopes and fears.
Lovely sights with lovely views,
and melodies in ears.

The world is full of meaning,
and the joy just never ends.
Nothing beats the feeling
of a weekend spent with friends.

Each game we play, a joyous treat,
each day a grand affair.
Through heavy meals, we laugh and feast,
our plates piled high with care.

Epic tales upon the screen,
we watch with wide-eyed wonder.
Together, life feels so serene,
our hearts feel light and younger.

The world is full of meaning,
and the joy just never ends.
Nothing beats the feeling
of a weekend spent with friends.

Time slows down, yet flies so fast,
in warm companionship.
Such precious moments, such a blast,
and such precious kinship.

With minds so light and spirits high,
we cherish every hour.
Beneath a vast and starry sky,
feel friendship's endless power.

The world is full of meaning,
And the joy just never ends.
Nothing beats the feeling
Of a weekend spent with friends.
