Today’s poem is another marker in time.
Poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
Walking on the path of life new paths emerge each day. Some made of clay, some made of wood, some full of sun and hay. Some paths seem full of roses yet their thorns are quick to prick. Some loose and muddy yet you find in some way, they just click! Some paths are full of lovely friends, their presence just for you! Some paths are full of odds and ends, some full of what's untrue. Now sometimes, you may have to choose, between two paths alike. Whose types and characteristics are equally dreamlike. You never thought you'd come to them or to you they'd arrive. You rarely ever thought of them, but now, they are alive! They seem like they're the same, yet there is more than meets the eye. If you look really closely the differences magnify. You'll feel giddy and overwhelmed, you'll struggle then to pick, the path that you will choose to go, the one to which you'll stick. The tricky part has started now, the part where most abscond. But if you find an answer, then you'll pull yourself beyond. And even after all this if your path's still at a fork, then take this simply as a sign to - Choose, Commit, and Walk.
That’s it, thanks for reading edition 138 of Hello Universe.
1. Waste some time with The Useless Web: Click a large button to go to a useless website on which you can waste some time. The Useless Web has been on my bookmarks for 10+ years and never fails to delight. Check it out!
2. Listen to my playlist “Bumper Energy”: I needed to do something recently that involved keeping myself in a high energy can-do mood for long periods of time. This playlist was my source of all that energy, and that’s why it’s called “Bumper Energy”. Great way to start the day, listen now!
3. Watch “The References in Shaolin Soccer” by Accented Cinema: Shaolin Soccer is a delightful movie. I had originally seen it dubbed in Hindi as a 12 year old, and since then I must have seen it in English countless times. But this video hits different, because it is a look at this movie from the eyes of a local. Accented Cinema gives a deep look at the easter eggs and hidden winks that director Stephen Chow baked into Shaolin Soccer, and boy, it gave me the feels. Great video, watch it now!
That’s it for this week, see you next Tuesday!
Life is full of surprises. You must choose the right path every time
Wonderful, as always. And indeed, life is all about making choices. And also realizing you can backtrack on a path. Or change direction. That's all okay.
Well written, my friend. Great topic and great poem.
