New Year With Friends

I spent this new year with my best friends. That’s what today’s poem is about.

Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!

We gathered for the new year's cheer,
and conversations flowed.
Smiles all 'round as happiness
was our default mode.

We talked about our lives, our dreams,
each moment was a gem.
Each place we went became for us
a happy, loving realm.

Our lives now hold new meanings deep,
And joy that never ends.
Nothing beats the feeling
of the new year spent with friends.

We sang and danced and partied
and together we felt free!
We unburdened our hearts and minds,
and filled them up with glee!

Though winds were brisk, the fog thick-set,
and winter's chill did bite,
Yet warmth was found in every laugh,
each moment - pure delight!

Our lives now hold new meanings deep,
And joy that never ends.
Nothing beats the feeling
of the new year spent with friends.

We watched some silly movies
and we laughed and laughed away.
Some of us, we missed our flights!
Oh well, one more fun day.

We dreamt of lovely futures
and we wished for lovely lives.
The presence of a friend, you see,
creates the world's best vibe!

Our lives now hold new meanings deep,
And joy that never ends.
Nothing beats the feeling
of the new year spent with friends.
