Here I am today, sending you the 50th edition of Hello Universe.
I started this newsletter to share with the world my love for fun, thought-provoking poems. This journey has put me in touch with wonderful readers like you.
You encourage me every week with your likes, comments, replies, and Whatsapp messages of love and appreciation. It is an overwhelming feeling and I thank you lots for being a part of it!
On to today’s poem!
I decided to do something special for this 50th edition, but couldn’t quite nail exactly what to do. I thought of these options:
A poem about my writing experience? Already done.
A poem comic? Done a few times.
A sequel to an existing poem? Did that last week.
So, how could I surprise and delight you? How could I deliver something new to celebrate 50 editions?
Turns out, the answer was to release my first POEM VIDEO!
That’s right, today’s poem is an enjoyable 18 second video, perfect for bite-sized consumption, and guaranteed to give you a laugh. I wrote this poem as a response to everyone who keeps suggesting that I monetize my hobbies. This is my first time attempting this format, so PLEASE SEND ME SOME FEEDBACK. I would be super grateful for your encouragement.
So, without much ado, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
Here it is in text format in case you can’t watch it just yet:
"You could sell it!" "Write it!" "Tell it!" "Get a lot of cash to spell it." "NFT it!" "Tokenize it!" "Go ahead and monetize it!" "Everything that you've been thinking, is the stuff you could be minting." "Do it man, or you'd be crazy!" "But!", he whispered, "I'm too lazy."
That’s it!
Thanks for being on this ride with me. 50 weeks… wow!
PLEASE share in the comments - What is your favorite poem ever?
Mine is “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost.
Also please comment - HOW DID YOU LIKE THE VIDEO!!??
I am not posting “Some fun stuff” today, so be on the lookout for it next week. Bye now! 🙌
