I loved Enid Blyton's Adventure Series as a kid -- but I doubt it would hold up now. In fact, I'd expect it to be quite cringeworthy... lol
I'm happy to report though that The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy *does* hold up -- even if it is closer now to Enid Blyton than it is to us! (Can you believe it?)
I knowwww! The Hitchhiker's Guide is a timeless piece of creative writing that only a genius could birth. Douglas Adams is the best. I put up the audiobook or radio plays and listen at least once a year.
I enjoyed the video of Adams on Letterman that you'd shared last week. He is so articulate and delightful. His eloquence and style are so similar to his best friend Stephen Fry!
