My best moon memory was when my husband woke up at 2 am from a deep slumber, whispering, “you have to take a walk with me, it’s so beautiful outside.” It had apparently snowed heavily and with the full moon and quiet we walked through our magical woodlands. I had no idea how bright the landscape could be with the moon reflecting light off the snow. Never to be forgotten, love beauty, love romantic hearts.

Thank you so much for sharing this precious memory, here's a tiny rhyme for you:

--

That night, the moon shone bright,

a wondrous sight,

Blanketing the land in white,

a magical light.

Hand in hand we took a stroll,

awestruck by nature's role,

It gave us this winter's night,

a memory so right.

I had a long distance lover. It was almost impossible for us to meet in the coming few years. The only way we could truly connect was to look at the shining moon, knowing the other person is looking at it too. The moon connected us. Now we are married for 8 years.

When I started dating my wife we had a few periods where we lived in different cities. I wrote a (very terrible) song about this very thing. Meeting at the 🌙. I guess it was the effort that counted 😆.

Thank you....I have only had a poem written for me one other time in my life....from my husband. I am a very sentimental person, this is a keeper. Enjoy life!

When my older son was 10, I went to his room and woke him one evening--“Come outside with me! The moon is beautiful!”

We sat on the porch, me on a chair and he in my lap, and looked at the bright orb. After a moment he said, “I wish I could be a little baby again. But with the mind of a 10-year-old.”

What a beautiful memory Holly. Here's a tiny rhyme for you:

---

Under the moonlit sky we sat,

he said something I won't forget.

Those innocent words still resonate,

how fast the years accelerate.

I have a memory from when I was very very little of the moon over the distant mountains, out our living room window. It was early in the morning; in my mind, I can hear the crunch of the car’s tires on the gravel driveway as my dad pulls away. A melancholic memory, but strong and beautiful nonetheless.
