Walk in the Park

I come to you with something new, yet again!

This is the first time in Hello Universe's history that I have tried to turn a poem into a short live-action video.

I invite you to take a short walk in the park with me, and hope you enjoy it!

I looked at the world
on my walk to the park.
The sun was just setting,
soon it would be dark.
🌇🌆

The nature around me,
the tallest of trees.
The birds and the branches,
wherever you see.
🌳🦅🌳

So random, disjointed,
and yet at its best.
It made me feel welcome
like I was its guest.
👋👋

The people around me,
the women and men,
the kids playing games
as they laughed and they ran.
☺☺

I walked and I thought of
the lives of those folks.
Their hopes and their dreams,
and their stories and jokes.
👪🍕🎈

I looked at them all
as I walked through the trees.
And wondered if they thought
the same about me.
😇😇

That's it! Thanks for reading Hello Universe this week.

I wrote this poem back in late 2020. Since then, I have gone on a lot of walks, and have enjoyed observing nature as well as the people around me. Capturing it on video seemed like a natural next step.

Also, a special thanks to my friend who captured the shots of me walking. I felt super conscious about it during the shoot, but the results are really nice. I genuinely dig the vibe of this video, I hope you do too!
