That synonym line is GENIUS! Sorry you're missing your parents, Punit. Find some sunshine, breathe some air. And reframe that you're 'trying to find your place as one among millions' to the fact that that actually means you ARE ONE IN A MILLION. Special. Unique!

There! Sorted. 🙌

Rebecca, thank you SO MUCH for the reframed mindset. I love it!! You are a true gem.

Here's a mini poem inspired by you:

----

I felt like a drop in the sea,

thought I had no identity.

But then I saw it a different way,

that I'm special, one in a million, YAY!

It's too natural to feel that way,

Because, trust me, most days are tough,

I too wish I could give a shoulder Off,

But end up eventually doing stuff.

You're the one,

from whom I learned how to rhyme,

And now with time,

You're back in action,

this is so much fun!

Woohoo! A simple and effective solution indeed.

Here's a mini poem for you 😀

------

The blues may come a-calling,

troubles keep falling,

But when I need a cheer,

sunshine is near! 🌞

I go outside for a beam,

my mood gets redeemed,

In the golden light,

I find true delight! 🌞

Oh friend. Life is sometimes what life is. And these moments of feeling down are part of that. I can only agree with what you wrote: you are the one who can take the reigns and ride out of this. But sometimes, the best way is to waste some time and allow yourself to feel sad and down. Try to understand why it is, and learn from that.

And sometimes, we also have to realize that the choices we make, because we think they will bring us the best opportunities in ife, will always come at a cost. That is also part of life. Still, feeling the sadness of that cost, does not mean you made the wrong choice. But if you think you did, you can always choose to reverse.

In any case, I loved this poem. Keep writing.

Thank you so much for your deep and heartfelt message Arjan. It truly makes me happy to know that I have a friend in you, someone who cares and thinks so deeply. You're a generous soul.

Here's a mini poem for you, and about you:

----

He roams the world with love in heart,

he's gentle as the morning breeze,

He greets each stranger on his way,

and puts their worried hearts at ease.

.

He does not judge or criticise,

but understands to empathise.

He knows the world is full of flaws,

and yet he's found a worthy cause.

.

He makes his friends in every land

and keeps their stories in his heart.

He does not seek for wealth or fame,

but for the joy of human art.

.

He finds his home in every place,

and feels the warmth of every face.

He's kind and gentle, and he's true,

Who is this? My friend it's you!

Oh, my friend! That is not a mini poem!!! I am going to keep that one. Wow. I feel so honoured. Totally too much.

But really, friend. This all is part of life. Take your time. It will make you grow if you reflect like you do.

And this is still too much. Thank you.

When I feel bad, I usually turn to book or movies or video games. Any kind of media, actually, as long as it’s old school escapism.

What a simple and perfect coping mechanism Andrei. Here's a mini poem for you:

___

When problems get me down and out,

when sadness comes and makes me pout.

I'd like to say without a thought,

that "culture" is my antidote!
