I love the last stanza! I noticed the lack of prompt beforehand and was a bit sad for a second that you hadn’t included one but was relieved to find it after the poem. I think it’s ok either place. Also! I’ve read Project Hail Mary, but my husband is listening to it now and I’m catching snippets of it. It was already on my mind while reading the poem and fun to see it as the inspiration!
Lovely poem. I’m fascinated by the Overview Effect. I wrote a piece about it on the blog (you can find it here: https://www.practicespace.blog/p/on-vastness), but at the time I didn’t know it had a name. It’s a totally fascinating change of perspective and a very calming exercise.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderfully written post. I enjoyed it thoroughly and shared my thoughts in the comments. You're a talented writer, Andrei!
This things are said in our spiritual books. You define it very well
