Today’s poem is what happens when I can find absolutely no creativity within me.
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
The cursor kept on blinking as I trashed another draft. Doubting whether I could keep up with this crafty craft. 😣😣 Concepts flashing in and out, but nothing I could write. Nothing that could please a crowd or cause any delight. 😥😥 Sad and flustered, I looked up toward the starry sky. Imploring, "Help me cross this hump, or I'll break down and cry. 😖😖 My punches have no punch in them, my humor's lacking fun. I'm feeling truly underwhelmed. My talent's been undone!" 💀💀 This drama made the Almighty look down, surprised and shocked. And God then sensed that I might need a passionate pep talk. 📣📣 "Hey man", said God, "take some time off. Go out and take a walk. Cause, this is just a classic case of chronic writer's block! 📖✒❌ "So chill, just take a break, you know? Lie down, and get some rest. Just take it easy, let it go!" said God to me, and left. 👋👋 I did as I was told by God, and followed the advice. Right after which I wrote a plot and edited it twice. 🧾🧾 I know it's not my finest work, as I am pressing 'SEND'. But you just read the whole thing, so, the joke's on you, my friend. 😝😝😝
That’s it! Thanks for reading edition 85 of Hello Universe. I published this poem back in February when I was feeling a similar dearth of creativity 😁.

Some Fun Stuff:
This is where I share something cool to read, something cool to listen to, and something cool to watch! The underlined words are links that you can click to visit the recommended content.
1. Check out the life story of Dolph Lundgren: You probably know Dolph Lundgren. He played the notorious “Ivan Drago” in the “Rocky” and “Creed” movies. This is him:
The reason I’m recommending you to read about him is this: his life story is incredible! Check out this snippet from the Wikipedia page:
Lundgren received a degree in chemical engineering from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in the early 1980s and a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney in 1982. He holds the rank of 4th dan black belt in Kyokushin karate and was European champion in 1980–81.
That’s his real life. What a guy! So if you want to be entertained and inspired, go ahead, check out his Wikipedia page. 😀
2. Listen to La Cle des Champs by NTO: I may or may not have listened to this track 100 times in the past week. I have no words to describe it except for “Magic”? Let’s call it magic. It falls somewhere in the EDM + Trance spectrum but I wouldn’t rule it out if you’re not a big EDM fan. It really is that good!
3. Watch The Slow Mo Guys break a pool ball by shooting it through a cannon: If you’ve been on the internet for a while, you probably know the Slow Mo guys. You probably know of their habit of thinking up crazy experiments and then filming them in ultra slow motion.
Well, here they go again, shooting pool balls through a cannon. It turns out to be as awesome as the title promises. Check it out!
That’s it for this week. See you next Tuesday!
Great work, glad you found the words! I had no idea about Dolph Lundgren, such an interesting life!
Loved the surprise ending of the poem. A great reminder to slow down to give your voice some space. I’m digging the NTO song as well, very hypnotic. 😀👍🏽
