My friend! I'll give you the deep answer. Naturally, my mind wants to say it's been a little choatic. It begins to immediately identify negatives, low points and struggles within the last few months. Did these things happen? Yes. Am I better because of them? Yess. Am I closer to my goals through it all? Yesss!!! Am i excited about tomorrow? Very much so!!
Perhaps it's a mechanism of survival or how our minds have been groomed to view the world, but despite reflection on challenging lows, i like to think "how are things today, as compared to how they were 6 months ago?" If there's any bit of growth, progress, or simply life worth living, i guess things are pretty great!
Thank you Shawn for the deep answer. I am grateful that our tiny conversation in the flight has turned into this exchange of experiences.
The negatives, low points, and struggles are also important to keep in context, because hey, if you survive all of them and still succeed, imagine the stories you'll be able to tell! 😀
I love the mindset of thinking about how much one has changed and grown compared to their past self. It has always been my primary driver.
I'm doing well at my end. This trip was surely a massive boost for my overall wellbeing and happiness. The new job has been a massive uphill climb both in terms of the new skills that I have to develop and the show that I have to run. But the muscles that I am building through this climb are sure to carry me through the next leg of my career, and that excites me.
Super delighted to see you here at Hello Universe. I hope these poems keep bringing joy to you, and let's keep talking! 🤗
Great reminders sir!
Shawn! It's so good to hear from you. How's California, how have you been!
