I could not answer your question, do I like longer or shorter poems...it depends upon the content! Your poem today made me think...Life is overwhelming at times...so much to do and so little time. In the morning I get my daily chores out of the way, then I get to my 500 - 1000 daily emails...I first delete every one that is not personal or requires an answer. Then i handle the rest. I get rid of the trash and scam daily. Hopefully,, it will leave more memory on my laptop. I keep a journal...recording everything I do. Reminds me of the Efficiency Expert father in a movie called Cheaper by the Dozen. Timing every action, so as to handle every minute of the day. It takes me 20 minutes to prepare my fruit bowl..and about 25 minutes to eat it...Could I save time by simply eating some pealed bananas??? Then, i have my daily exercise...I was fast walking for 60 minutes daily, then it rained for two days. Then the next 4 days, I fast walked 90 minutes to make up for the two days i didn't walk. It is wintry and cold, so I am not getting up earlier than 6:45 now to go out and take care of the chickens and the coop. When it is warmer, I get up an hour earlier. By 8:30 at night, I am ready to drop into bed. 24/7 every minute of the day is busy...no time to stop! .Your poem today, made me stop and reflect on how fast time was going. Well, I can say one thing...I am never bored. My motto has always been..."Never put off doing anything, which can be done today; start tomorrow with.a clean slate."
This poem sure made me think it would be a wonderful children's story. Perhaps you or someone you know could do some simple fun illustrations or cartooning with this poem? It really brought so made vivid images to my mind. Really fun poem.
Whenever you swim with the current of the water, you will reach at your destination pleasently, but if you try to swim in opposite direction of current your journey will be very difficult
