Today’s poem is about that spark that makes you go “Aha!”
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
The rush of excitement that gushes through mind, a feeling with no equal of any kind. A feeling of knowing, of certainty true. A vision so clear, of things now to do. The sound of a drumroll, a stage and a light. A pit in your stomach, that tells you you're right. A knot in your heart beating harder and fast. A certain emotion exploding in blasts. If that's what you're sensing, then know this my friend. A massive epiphany now is at hand. The path lies before you, it's no longer dark. It's lit and ablaze now with your newfound spark. Embrace the unknown, with a confidence bold. Go on friend, and let that new story unfold.
That’s it! Thanks for reading edition 157 of Hello Universe.
I’m curious to know - what was the epiphany that struck you the hardest? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
I remember the epiphany that I felt when I wrote this poem about a guy procrastinating on taking a break:
It was me! I was this guy! Writing this poem made me promise I’ll take better care of myself, and since then I’ve maintained an average of 2 good trips per year.
Some Fun Stuff
1. Build customized maps of real world places with Snazzymaps: I recently had an idea that I should screenshot the map of all the cities I’ve ever lived in, frame those images, and put them on my wall. But the Google maps aesthetic wouldn’t necessarily look good on a wall. Enter Snazzymaps - with an ability to customize the look of a map to your heart’s content, this tool helps you make beautiful map imagery. Check it out!
2. Listen to Watch Them Come (Men from the Nile): A track my friends and I call “The One That Can Make Anyone Dance”. LOVE IT!
3. Watch Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen on Netflix: I’m a simple man. I see Guy Ritchie’s name, I press play. From Lock Stock to Snatch to RocknRolla to The Gentlemen (the movie), Ritchie has been the absolute boss of showcasing London’s criminal underbelly. With this show, a spin-off of the wonderful 2019 film, he delivers punchy action, thrill, suspense, drama, and of course, quips. It’s Guy Ritchie after all, and his work is never complete without some Cockney slang and Liverpudlian gang violence. This show gets two thumbs up from me, check it out!
That’s it for this week, see you next Tuesday!

What is greatest ephiphany I ever had...realizing that there is nothing more important than love...If one does not have love in one's life...one is poor. It is not about money or anything money can buy. It is about sharing life with the right person. All my early life I focused on one day having a really beautiful home. My dream home materialized after 22 years.... five years later I walked out. It was no longer important, because I realized a house is not a home, if there is no love.
