Superb Punit. We all have our childhood memories and characters who have shaped our thinking and outlook towards life. I am very glad that you explored your local library to satisfy your curiosity. Keep it up. Keep sharing! I wonder how do we pass this- always being curious on to our next generation.

Thanks Naman. Hope you're doing well!

I think curiosity is an innate part of every child. They are sponges ready to absorb whatever information that comes their way so they can create their own mental model of the world. The real challenge is to cultivate and nurture that curiosity so that the child can develop a worldview that's optimistic and adventurous so that they can make the most of all the opportunities that come their way.

Reading Tintin was a big part of why I look at the world optimistically!

Hey Punit - great artwork! You have a knack for it!

I had an awareness of Tintin, but didn't know much about him until the movie came out. We took the boys and they enjoyed it somewhat, but I felt it could have been more. Always hard to turn a comic book character into a live action movie though... Love the idea though and probably would have followed up with the comic books, but I'm not much of a comics guy either... lol

Glad you were able to make it there -- looks like it was a great trip!

Thank you Graham, making Tintin art is one of the great joys of my life.

Even if you don't consider yourself a "comics guy", knowing you to be a "writing guy", I would still recommend the Tintin albums because of their fantastic writing. The original English translators, Michael Turner and Leslie Lonsdale-Cooper came up with some brilliant ways of bringing the characters to life, including the bumbles and fumbles of the Thompson twins, and the colorful swears of Captain Haddock. Hergé himself wrote these stories with a lot of care and made sure to engage the readers' minds rather than just their eyes.
