Today’s poem is a reminder that what you do matters. What you say matters. What you create matters.
You matter.
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
Our world is changed in tiny ways by what you do and what you say. Your smile, your frown, your helping hand brings changes all across the land. Your voice can lift someone up high, or leave them broken, left to cry. Your choice to act, or just ignore, determines what is held in store. So when you think you're but a grain, too small to ease up this world's pain - Recall how pebbles make a spread of circles out as ripples tread. The drops that make an ocean wide, are single drops of water tied. The stars that shine up in the night together make the heavens bright. Each day in small, uncommon ways, we shape this world through nights and days. So choose your words and actions true - for change begins inside of you.
That’s it! Thanks for reading edition 133 of Hello Universe.
I’m curious - when was the last time you felt that your actions change the world? Share a comment and let the Hello Universe community know!
I felt it recently when a couple of new friends told me that talking to me helped them think things through 😃
Some Fun Stuff
This is a place where I share something cool to read, something cool to listen to, and something cool to watch! The underlined words are links that you can click to visit the recommended content.
1. Use toffeeshare to quickly share files between your devices: Unless all of your devices are from Apple, you may be missing out on the convenience of quickly sharing your files wirelessly. I recently discovered toffeeshare, a website that allows you to send files wirelessly between your phone / tablet / computer. Super handy, check it out!
2. Listen to “Great Day to Fly a Kite” by Stavroz - This track is a total bopper. I had it in my listening queue for more than a year, and I finally listened to it last week, and I have only been listening to it since.
3. Watch ONE REVOLUTION PER MINUTE: I discovered this one in Tom Scott’s newsletter which as always is a sheer treasure chest of amazing things to read and watch. This short film is full of breathtaking visuals, imagining life inside a massive futuristic space station. Totally worthy of its 6 minute run time. In fact, it’ll leave you wanting more.
That’s it for this week, see you next Tuesday!
