Life is a roller coaster. A pendulum. A sinusoidal wave. A predictably unpredictable experience that takes you up to the clouds one time and down in the dumps another.
I come face to face with reality almost as often as you might, dear reader. And times when this reality hits hard are the ones when I spend a lot of energy just moping.
Then slowly I realize that moping isn't the answer, so I go for a walk. Sometimes it helps. Sometimes it doesn't.
If I decide to start moping again, I do it for quite some time more. Then I watch some TV. Write to you. Find a way to take my mind off things.
.
.
.
And then I mope again.
This cycle continues for some time, as, having been shaken from my point of equilibrium, I slowly and steadily find a way to reset.
But the very act of “reset” requires the removal of routine - and no other way helps reset a routine better than the one in today's poem.
Alright… poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
When life gets just a tad too rough, a tad too tough. You've had enough. 😢 When life gets just an inch too dull, And in your skull you feel a lull. 😶 When life gets just a bit too grim or dim, or other synonyms. 📚 Let go, my friend, it ain't no crime. Sometimes, it's good to waste some time. ⏳
That's it! Thanks for checking out edition 218 of Hello Universe.
