Today’s poem is an anthem for life’s many ups and downs.
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
When the world's full of trouble, and you feel like a bubble, that could pop any moment with a loud and scary "BOOP". When the world's full of sorrow, you're dreading tomorrow, and you think there’s no way but to curl up in a loop. When the world's full of madness, you’re overcome by sadness, and life feels disjointed, unhappy, and blue. When the world seems too scary, no longer ordinary, then here is what I can suggest you could do: ********* Close your eyes, and take a breath as deep as you can make it go. Think of all the people who have loved you and have helped you grow. 🤗 See their lovely happy faces, and think of their lovely smiles. And then see all the places where you've gone and travelled many miles. 🛣🌄 Think about the lushest parks and forests that have seen your face. Think about the cumulative sum of your life's sunny days. 🌅 Think about the songs you love that play on loop when life is good. Think about the taste and smell of all your favorite tasty food. 🍜🍦 Picture now the art you've seen that moved and stirred and shook your soul. Picture then the life you'll live when you have reached your farthest goal. 🏆 See the huge enormity of all that life has given you. And put it right next to the pile of things that hurt and trouble you. 🙂🙃 I hope that you will see your life as shades of dark combined with light. I hope that you will see behind the darkest cloud some rays so bright. 🌥 The beauty of existence is the fact that it is black and white and grey and blue and purple too. Sometimes it's wrong, sometimes it's right. 😇 Oh, to live is such a gift! that's all I really know, and thus, let's celebrate this life we have for all that it has given us! 🥳🎊
That’s it! Thanks for reading edition no. 129 of Hello Universe.
Some Fun Stuff
This is a place where I share something cool to read, something cool to listen to, and something cool to watch! The underlined words are links that you can click to visit the recommended content.
1. Turn your handwriting into a font with Calligraphr: Here’s a service that allows you to turn your handwriting into a font that you can then use in any digital writing application like Word, Powerpoint, and even Photoshop. I have used this service to make the font I use in my poem comics (been a few years since I made one). Check it out!
2. Listen to “A Tune For Jack” by Lemon Jelly: It’s no secret that I love Lemon Jelly. They’re probably going to be my most played band on Spotify this year. “A Tune For Jack” is classic Lemon Jelly - foot tapping, mellow, contemplative music, with delightful bits thrown in all over the track. It will surely put a smile on your face, play it now!
3. Watch “Trying to find fitness advice online” by Ryan George: This is exactly what it feels like to look something up on Google these days.
Alright, that’s it for this week. See you next Tuesday!
Beautiful, just beautiful ❤️
Love it! Does the software work with cursive?
