I am going through a period of intense reflection. Confronting everything that has happened in the last 10 years of my life, finding out the patterns, logic, and meaning behind it all. There’s a lot that spills out from such reflection - surprise, joy, regret, and uncertainty.
“Wow, I can’t believe I got to do something like that?”
“Oh man, I feel so happy reminiscing that incident.”
“I wish I hadn’t made that choice.”
“What does it all add up to?”
Doing this exercise is helping me get more in touch with my reality and who I am. Looking in the mirror of your own life is a crazy experience, my friends.
Now all of this, of course, is in the service of building a better future. After all if one is aware of the patterns of their history, they can find ways to repeat the good ones and avoid the bad ones to craft the story of their life further. And that’s what today’s poem is about - the story of one’s life.
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
The story of your lovely life the way it's been so far. From when you came down to this earth to when you got your car. From when you went to school, from when you made your first best friend. To where you are today and maybe to the day it ends. The story of your lovely life the way you've lived so bold. Would you rather have it be forgotten or be told? If you would like it told to all for centuries to come. Then get to work my friend, for there's a lot more to be done! 😀
That’s it! Thanks for reading edition no. 139 of Hello Universe. This newsletter and its poems are the most delightful part of my life’s story.

1. Check out the fun experiences at funwebsite.fun: This website feels like a collection of fun experiences from the early 2000s. It has random experiences like the Sunset live stream, The Infinite Monkeys, Stained Glass Smash and so on. It’s a good way to relax for 10 minutes. Check it out!
2. Listen to Black Rose by Solomun : I saw Solomun perform live on my Netherlands trip, and I gotta say, no one gets a party going like Solomun. This is one of his classic bangers, guaranteed to have you tapping your feet. Check it out!
3. Watch “FUN TO IMAGINE” with Richard Feynman: Richard Feynman needs no introduction. One of the sharpest minds of 20th century physics, a member of the Manhattan Project, friend to legends like Dirac - Feynman was an educator beyond par. His ability to take the most complicated physics phenomena and translate them into descriptions that one could understand is on full display in this documentary series. Originally shot as a series of 6 episodes, this Youtube video puts them all together for us to enjoy.
Well worth 1 hour of your time. Check it out!
