Today's poem is a way to remind all of us that it's important to count one's blessings every once in a while.

Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!

I see the world I live in now
and think of what I've got.
I think of all this world can be 
and all it should be not.

And then I think I've not
counted my blessings in a while.
So hey I'll do it now,
because I think I want to smile.

I'm blessed to have this life, you know,
these eyes and ears and brain.
I'm blessed to have a body to
go dancing in the rain.

I'm blessed to have a sense of thought,
so I can think good things.
And blessed I have a moral ground
that clips my nasty wings.

I'm blessed because I get to 
feel at peace and feel a rush.
I'm also blessed because I'm in
a world so green and lush.

I'm blessed that I experience these
sights and smells and sounds.
Sometimes I get to cry,
sometimes there's laughter all around.

Sometimes there is forgiveness
and then sometimes heartbreak.
There's clouds with silver linings
and look! There's a milkshake.

This list of all I'm blessed with
is a list that is too long,
Now think about your blessings too
and let's count them along.
