And, you know what, I totally see the resemblance:
While Tauktae-the-gecko is out chillin’ like a villain, Tauktae-the-cyclone is doing anything but - it’s sinking barges, sending garbage back to land from the sea, and generating fake viral news stories.
It’s a doozy.
All this gives me another reason to stay home, and contemplate existence, and reach into my archives to find a poem that romanticizes the changing seasons of life.
So without further ado, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
Winter is so awesome!
Yes, we get to wear new coats!
We snuggle up in blankets!
And ski down from snowy slopes!
Summer's pretty pleasing, too!
With slushies made of ice!
With time spent on some beaches!
Gobbling down a mango slice!
Ah, the feel of rainy days!
With water pouring down!
I make a cup of steaming tea!
I gaze upon the town!
I love the changing seasons.
But, I end up feeling stressed.
'Cause they are fun for one - two days,
and then I hate the rest.
For winters get so gloomy,
and so cold they give me shivers.
And at their coldest they give me,
some violent coughs and fevers.
The summers are the most
uncomfortable that I get.
There's thirst and heat and glare and dust,
and then there's all the sweat!
The monsoons bring mosquitoes!
And the potholes on our roads.
And when it's really dark at night,
you hear the frogs and toads.
So what I've learnt from seasons is -
what comes will soon be gone.
The wheel of time goes round and round
and life, my friend, goes on.

I haven’t really pushed my 1000 subscriber goal in the past month because of the difficulties facing everyone, and will get back to it once things get better.
