I rewatched a movie today that I had seen a long time ago. Today’s poem is rewritten here for you because it is inspired by this movie!

Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!

What is happiness?
A feeling? A thing?
Something to touch?
Or something to sing?

A fragrance, a sight? A sound, or a taste?
Something to find? Or something to chase?

The thrill of something new,
the comfort of what's old.
The warmth of being loved.
the courage of being bold.

In the pages of a book, or the babble of a brook.
It's hidden around you, in a cranny or a nook.

In the laughter of a child.
In the smile of a friend.
In the sunrise, the sunset,
and at the rainbow's end.

It's life with loved ones at home, and
it's life when you live in the moment.

So what is happiness then?
Is it easy to define?
I've thought about it
for the longest of time.

It's what I keep seeking, it's what I've pursued.
And as of now, this is what I'll conclude:

Happiness is living,
the joy of being you!
Without your heart to feel it,
happiness won't be true!

So open your mind, and follow your heart.
Happiness will find you, as you play your part!
