In today’s poem, we meet someone who is just like all of us. But the question is - do we want to be just like him?
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
He scrolled and scrolled and scrolled some more. Social media apps galore. Stories, videos, and some gossip, that he could just not ignore. He scrolled and scrolled and scrolled the feed. Hardly even stopped to read. Propaganda finely tailored to each view that he agreed. He scrolled and scrolled and scrolled away. Every season. Night and day. Scrolling when he's out with people. Scrolling when he's out to play. He scrolled and scrolled and scrolled anew. Knowing not what's false what's true. Think a little bit about it; my dear friend - has this been you?
That’s it! This poem is emblematic of behavior that I see within myself and a lot of people I know, so it felt appropriate to dive into. Please share some of your experiences with “endless scrolling” in the comments!

This is a place where I share something cool to read, something cool to listen to, and something cool to watch! The underlined words are links that you can click to visit the recommended content.
1. Read “10 Types of 30-Year-Old Single Guys” : Tim’s blog Wait but Why is what inspired me to start writing in the first place. So when I ran into this old post by him (while being age 30 myself), I couldn’t help but share. HILARIOUS.
2. Listen to “Indigo Road by Joey Fehrenbach” : A chilled out space-techno-sparkle song that will make you feel happy. Get your head bopping to this track NOW!
3. Watch Einstein explaining E=MC^2 (in color) : Very few things in life end up feeling awe-inspiring to their core. This video is one of them. The title says it all, so I would just implore you to go watch it NOW!
That’s it for this week. See you next Tuesday.
What a great way to address this subject. Very well written, and a great rhythm. Well done.
Yes of course it has also been me. But I hope, and try, not anymore.
