Today’s poem is a reflection on who I am, who you are, who we are as humans.
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
Us humans declare that, "We love Mother Earth!" Then dig up her guts for whatever it's worth. We hug a big tree and plant one more sapling, and forget the whole thing when a present needs wrapping. We swear we want peace, and wars must all cease, but rage over toppings that go on our meals. "United we stand!" we cry out with zeal, then argue online if UFO's are real. We preach about kindness with passionate might, then scroll past a stranger's most terrible plight. In all of our messes, we laugh through our tears collecting our sorrows and bundling our fears. We dream of great purpose, then nibble on doubt, full of contradictions both inside and out. We're brilliant and foolish, both wondrous and flawed, breaking and fixing our own tangled laws. We're such paradoxes, completely bizarre, in truth microscopic, yet thinking we're stars. Us humans - a riddle wrapped in skin and bone, part angel, part monster—yet neither alone.

I’m curious to know - which paradox about humanity puzzles you the most?

Some Fun Stuff
Here are some links that I think you will enjoy.
1. Check out Suno and make a song: Suno is an AI tool that makes music. Just type in what kind of music you want to create, and voila, you’ve got a song ready for you. I have enjoyed playing with it for the past few days, and it’s super entertaining + full of those aha! moments you get when AI is capable of doing something truly magical. Create your first rock ballad or a lullaby for your child, and enjoy this feeling of creating something new!
2. Listen to “summer on the inside” by warner case and others: A chill, optimistic beat that will put a smile on your face.
3. Watch Avengers: Endgame, but 23% smarter: I like finding new channels that make fun of silly movie plotholes. How It Should Have Ended has been the animated OG of this type of content for years, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover The Warp Zone’s “23% smarter” series which does the same with live action, showing ways in which movies would have ended much quicker if the writers had just thought things through a little more. Check out this hilarious one on Avengers: Endgame, and then go down the rabbit hole for more of these videos!
That’s it for this week, see you next Tuesday!
Life is not black or white. It's grey.
This is gem right here Punit 🙌🏻
