A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step... anonymous. It is important to take that first step in order to get anywhere in life.. This week i wrote about The Importance of Daily Routines in order to be healthy. Consistency is a must...not an occasional day at the gym. Every day I do three miles of walking. The last week there have been raging forest fires quite a distance from where we live, but there is the smell of smoke in the air. My daughter did not want me to walk outside...so she had me start using her treadmill a week ago. It is interesting to watch the seconds tick by, the amount of calories I am burning and to see how far I have gone. I do 58 minutes, then a cooldown time of 5 minutes...and cover 3.12 miles. I also burn 200 calories in that time. Daily exercise is important, because Movement is LIfe. An hour of exercise is very little...our ancient ancestors probably walked all day looking for food.
