Thanks to all your positive wishes and blessings, I am back on my feet and ready to bounce, so it’s time to get back to the positive vibes. That’s what today’s poem is about!
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
I was thinking 'bout thinking too much about thinking. My mind was a maze that was endlessly linking each worry to worry, and doubt to despair, while the world went on whooshing without any care. I needed to pop off this bubble of blues. So I blinked really hard and I saw something new: A pigeon was dancing (quite badly, it's true), And a businessman's briefcase had fallen askew. Spilling papers like snowflakes in summery weather, while he and a stranger just laughed there together. My sadness had stuck like a stubborn old stain But now it felt lighter like Sun after rain. A cat chased its tail with ferocious delight, The tail always won, you know, it felt right. A flower grew sideways, a cloud wore a hat, A child asked her mother, "What's that, and what's that!?" And each little ping of the world being so weird made space where my worries had once interfered. So now when I'm caught in the thick of my thoughts, all twisted in mental unsolvable knots. I note that the cure for a mind that's too tight is opening eyes to the world's gentle light, 'cause joy is just waiting it's perfectly clear, in the boing and bounce of the NOW and the HERE.
That’s it! Thanks for checking out edition 225 of Hello Universe. 225 is a perfect square (15^2) and the next perfect square edition will be 31 weeks later (edition 256) - so that’s today’s mathematical observation for you hahaha.
I am looking forward to these 31 weeks because something tells me that spectacular things are on the horizon for you and me, dear reader. Let’s buckle up for exciting times together!
Here’s a super happy track that’s kept my spirits up all of last week, it is by the legendary Japanese guitarist Masayoshi Takanaka from the 70s, and it has all the right flavors of jazz and funk. Give it a listen, and get a large smile on your face!
That’s it for this week, see you next Tuesday!
Very nice
