Today’s poem is written together with who reached out and asked to collaborate for this week. This was my first time joining forces like this, and I am super grateful to Etel for putting her awesome talent to work and suggesting we do this. The best part of writing with a creative partner is the energy in the room and the feeling of magic when you strike gold after trying to solve a creative problem for a long time. This was my first time experiencing this feeling for my poetry on Hello Universe, so that makes me happy 😊
We had lots of fun writing it together, and I hope you enjoy reading it, dear reader!
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
Unless you're a seeker, a student, or sage, Not always do lessons jump right out at you. Especially when life's at the busier stage, X marks not the spot or the way through. Pressures, errands, chores, and tasks, Eat up all your day, and time flies right by. Careless statements, or deliberate asks, Too much to finish! Help me! Sigh! Exhale! Inhale! Take time that you need, Don't rush to what's next, compelled to compete. 🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼🌺🌼 Linger…. smell the flowers. That break might just be Even a chance to slow down, amidst all that speed. So if you slow down, and you think, and you pause, Sensing, reflecting, on life's why's and what's, Observe your surroundings, I say this because, New lessons are found in the simplest of spots. P.S. Maybe you'd like to ask yourself this today - Does this poem have a surprising takeaway?
That’s it! Thanks for reading edition 199 of Hello Universe.
Super curious to know - how did you like today’s experiment? Etel came up with the concept and both of us wrote it together, so please share feedback for our collaboration in the comments!
That’s it for this week. Excited for next Tuesday as I see you for the big 200!
Loved the UNEXPECTED LESSON!!!!
I enjoyed reading the collaborative poem for Hello Universe #199. Both of you did a fantastic job!
