Telescopes are amazing. They look far away and show you things you never knew existed. They surprise and delight you. They show you a slice of the “far far away”.
I’ve always imagined owning a “time telescope”. A telescope that looks into the future and tells you what’s to come. A telescope that’s literally magic in your hands.
I don’t currently have the technical capabilities to build one, so I decided to use the capabilities that I do possess and do something about it. Enter - “Future Telescope”, my new Substack!
This Substack is all about looking at state of the art technologies today and learning something deeper about them so that we can think about our future with them. In this first article, I start with AI systems and over time I want to build a deeper understanding on the subject with my readers. I imagine Future Telescope as my attempt to connect with likeminded individuals who have their own point of view on the future of humanity and technology as they evolve together.
I hope you will consider subscribing to this new initiative and give it the same love and conversation that you bring to Hello Universe, dear reader.
This concept of a “Future Telescope” is what today’s poem is about.
Alright, let’s start in 3… 2… 1!
I look through my Future Telescope and see a world full of hope. Where everyone is kind and good and every feeling's understood. 🤗🤗 The skies are pretty, oceans blue, and every day keeps hugging you. Where people love and feel and care and there is no room for despair. 💕💕 A world of peace this future is. Love and joy will never cease. And through this telescope of mine I see this awesome distant time. ⏳⌛ So come out on this path with me. This world that we try to foresee through our Future Telescope. A world that's full of love and hope. 🥰🥰
That’s it. Thanks for reading edition 98 of Hello Universe! Two more weeks later we will enter the “Three Digit Era” of this newsletter, haha.

Some Fun Stuff
This is a place where I recommend read-worthy, hum-worthy, and watch-worthy content from across the internet. The underlined words are links that you can click to access my suggestions:
1. Read about the limitations of the Bing AI system: This is a post about building a Future Telescope. That makes it important to also know the limitations of present technology. The examples given in this article about the limitations of Bing AI show that there is still a long way to go in achieving the perfect text transformer AI that fits every need, understands every context, and helps everyone around the world. Maybe that’s your opening into this industry!
This reddit thread about Bing AI “losing trust and respect” for the user and calling itself “a good chatbot” is eerie and uncanny. Although not as uncanny as this reported existential crisis the AI went through when it realized it couldn’t recall past conversations with users. So weird.
2. Listen to “Ramblin’ Man” by Lemon Jelly: A relaxed, fun song that takes you on a trip around the world. Perfect to listen to while reading the above suggested post. Lemon Jelly never fails to hit it out of the park.
3. Watch HighBoi: One of those fun movie discussion channels where you end up watching 10 videos at once. Super funny. This video about Wall E just hits it out of the park.

That’s it for this week, see you next Tuesday!
What a lovely concept. And a great poem you wrote about it. Very inspiring.
Reminded me a bit of one of my favorite books, in which there the idea is discussed that if we look at stars lightyears away, we actually look into the past. You can sort of imagine it as a mirror, and then look back... ah well, I digress. Subscribing to your other Substack now as well. Looking forward to what you bring (although I have not been reading enough lately).
