Recently I opened a website after many years. Unfortunately, I didn’t remember its password, and it became really difficult to get in because of the difficult process set up by the website creators. Forgetting passwords is unfortunate, but failing to reset it while you lose precious time is even worse.
And that’s what today’s poem is about.
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
'Tis a day most dreary, with coffee gone cold, when a hapless soul faces a challenge so bold. With red bloodshot eyes on the flickering screen, begins the great battle of man v. machine. "Was it 'EachDayParty!' or '4000Shoes!'?" he ponders and mutters, his memory askew. "Perhaps 'IL0v3P1zza!' with numbers galore?" Alas! Each attempt bolts shut the door. Fingers trembling like leaves in the breeze, he clicks "Reset Password" with total unease. He just can't believe the security question - "Your pet's middle name?" (Wait, does Snowy have one?) Oh how will he get through this ironclad gate, he just wants to book a nice table for his date! He rummages old diaries and finally finds It's "Password123" - come on! Never mind... So if you're creating an account any time, commit to your memory, this "new password" rhyme: "Make it strong, make it strange, save it somewhere, don't forget - or get stuck in the purgatory of password reset!"

Some Fun Stuff
This is where I share something cool to read, something cool to listen to, and something cool to watch! The underlined words are links that you can click to visit the recommended content.
1. Check out the “Wheel of Emotion” - I am trying to expand my vocabulary about my emotions from basic terms like “happy” or “excited”. This “wheel of emotion” teaches a variety of terms which can be used to describe complex emotions, and using such specific terms to describe what we feel can bring us closer to actually understanding how we feel. Thus now, instead of just saying “I feel good”, I can say “I feel serene”. Or instead of saying “I’m sad”, I can say “I feel remorseful”, and then process the right emotion in the right way.
2. Listen to “Lights Out” by Boogie Belgique: A chill track for you to relax to.
3. Watch “BMX Park Best Trick” by X Games: The X Games used to be my favorite thing on TV back when I was a child. When I met a friend recently and he suggested we put up the X Games on Youtube, I was delighted, and since then I’ve been binging these videos. Check out this amazing Best Tricks competition and lose yourself in the hair raising stunts on display!
That’s it for this week, see you next Tuesday!
Loved this! I have SUCH a mental block with passwords and logins and all that jazz. In the old days I'd use the same password for everything, then variations on the same password, and then my husband suggested I started using a password management program thingy, and guess what, I struggle with that TOO..... 🫣
