It’s started getting cold where I live. I love the changing seasons and this is probably my favorite season of all!
The colors of the trees seem to be changing, fading from their bright greens to faded hues. The air is crisper and the sky is a hazy shade of blue. Even the sounds in the air have changed, feeling somehow sharper and more prominent.
My body begins to adjust to the chill, eager to curl up and enjoy this cozy season. I don my jackets and sweaters to brace against the cold and start to plan all the wonderful things I'll do this winter.
The changing seasons are such a wonderful marker of the passage of time. I'm grateful to be here to experience it, and to soak up all the beauty that comes with it. So that’s what today’s poem is about!
Alright, poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
A chill in the wind, through the crisp winter air, reminds me of warm clothes that I should now wear. 🧥 The leaves on the trees in a spectrum of hues, the fog and the haze seem to gently diffuse. 🍂 A feeling of coziness comes to take hold as jackets and blankets come out to unfold. 🥶 The chocolate is hot and the windows shut tight. Every soul looks for some warmth and some light. ☕ And so when I sit down to write down this rhyme, I surely do feel it's a wonderful time. ⛄ And thus I can say this - yes thus I conclude, this season puts me in a fantastic mood! 😀
That’s it! Thanks for reading edition 87 of Hello Universe. This poem was written while roasting some cashew nuts in the oven. 😀

Some Fun Stuff
This is where I share something cool to read, something cool to listen to, and something cool to watch! The underlined words are links that you can click to visit the recommended content.
1. Check out article.audio: It’s so cool when you find a tool that does exactly one thing and does it well! article.audio is exactly what it sounds like - paste a link to an article in the box, and the service automagically converts it into an audio narration which sounds surprisingly natural!
I’ve been using it for a few days to help me catch up with the news, and it’s been an absolute delight! Now I can listen to articles while I’m taking my morning stroll, or while I’m commuting to work. Plus, the voice is so pleasant and realistic, it helps me focus on what I’m listening to - it’s almost like having a podcast-reading service!
2. Listen to Je T’aime by Romare: Archie Fairhurst, aka Romare, is a sensation. I caught him performing live in Amsterdam back in June and boy oh boy, it was a treat for the senses. “Je T’aime” is one of his signature tracks, with hypnotic samples played on repeat, creating his own unique rhythm. This track is a great addition to my Hello Universe playlist!
3. Watch this video about personal finance Youtubers in the wake of the FTX debacle: It’s important to keep in mind that people who share get-rich-quick schemes are nothing more than snake oil salesmen. This is as true in 2022 C.E. as it was in 2022 B.C.E.
With the crash of SBF’s crypto empire, there has been a reckoning in the personal finance world about the silly influencers who pushed down these get rich quick schemes down their subscribers’ throats. I like how this video clearly puts into focus the problem with this model of finance influencers plugging speculative finance products and the conflicts therein. Super well thought out, and well communicated. If nothing else, you will walk away from this video much wiser.
That’s it for this week. See you next Tuesday!
