It’s been 14 months since we started the “WFH” life, and I’m still amazed at how weirdly this time has passed us by. The days have felt like months but the weeks have felt like days and the months have felt like weeks. It’s been crazy.
“Teams”, “Zoom” and “Meet” have become as essential as cars, buses and cabs. Screen times have gone through the roof - so much so that the medical community is expecting a boom in eye problems.
And through all of this, all of us have been finding more and more ways of retaining our optimism, harnessing our creativity, and coming closer together as human beings.
Today’s poem is one of those that brings us closer together, regardless of the work we do, because it is something all of us have experienced in the past 14 months. I hope all of you enjoy it, and if you do, then please share it with your friends and family!

Poem starts in 3… 2… 1!
Smiling wide, he proudly thought
of all the work he'd done.
Proud of how he made it end from
how it had begun.
💪
'Here's the day!' he thought, 'At last
I get to show the world!
My name will be remembered, and
my flag will be unfurled!'
😃
Excited, then, he logged on to
his meeting app of choice
And said aloud, "It's here my friends,
let's gather and rejoice!"
🥳
"The greatest thing we've ever done!"
he told them, full of glee,
and continued delivering
his grand soliloquy.
📢
And so it went until there was
an interruption rude.
When someone told him, sheepishly,
"Um, buddy, you're on mute!"
🙃🙃
That’s it!
I’ve been the guy in this poem at least once every week. 😅
If you know someone who forgets to mute or unmute themselves at the right time, do share this poem with them! You can also share in the comments some of your fun experiences in these ridiculously challenging times.
